jetprime control switches

Motorcycles are increasingly coming out with more electronics built into them. It’s not uncommon to have traction control, wheelie control, launch control, and more especially with modern superbikes. This also means more electronic controls end up on the handlebars as well. In this article, I am going to explain why Jetprime control switches are the solution for racing purposes.

Speaking specifically to the Aprilia RSV4 1100, at Road America on the front straight, there is a hill that you crest while accelerating. On the throttle, well over 100mph, cresting the hill, your front wheel comes off the ground. You can use some rear brake to keep the front tire down, but you’re slowing the bike down to accomplish that. That’s where the electronics come into play. Going over 100mph to a blind Hillcrest and trying to fumble through menus, individual clickers, or turning some little wheel on your handlebar controls can understandably be extremely distracting. With Jetprime racing switches, you can simply adjust wheelie control on-the-fly with a simple press of a button.

Jetprime switches make everything simple and easy. The switches also come with multiple different colored plastic button caps, so you can customize what colors do what functions. For example, you could have green buttons to reduce traction control. Then you just think “green = go less traction control, go faster,” and then red could be used for “ red = raining, more traction control.” Then in the heat of the moment, changing conditions, you are able to simply just press the green or red buttons.

  • Another advantage is the lower profile design. The Jetprime switches take up much less space on the handlebars which allows more customization of where to adjust your bar position and length.

  • Construction, the Jetprime switches are made from billet aluminum instead of plastic like OEM controls are made from. This inherently makes Jetprime switches more durable and less prone to failure in a crash.

  • Eliminate redundancies by getting Jetprime throttles with built in switches or switches that mount to your front brake master cylinder. This keeps your handlebars less cluttered, more adjustment, less weight, and less bolts to check for your pre-race weekend inspections.

Jetprime offers street and race versions of their control switches depending upon your bike make and model. If you have a dual purpose bike, meaning you do trackdays and street riding, you may want the street version to keep functions like cruise control and etc. In my opinion, Jetprime switches are the best way to enhance the riders ability to control electronics on-the-fly.
